Construction

Real sheep nappa or full-grain leather outer, cotton or soft leather lining
Spiral steel bones that flex with the body, plus flat steel bones either side of the back lacing for support
Front busk, side zip or lace-up front, with ribbon lacing at the back for the fit
A modesty panel behind the back lacing on most

Overbust or underbust
An overbust covers and supports the bust and works on its own as a top. An underbust sits below the bust and layers over a shirt or dress, giving more freedom at the shoulders.
Measuring and fit
Corset sizing is based on your natural waist, usually with a 3 to 4 inch reduction built in. Measure your waist at its narrowest, choose that size from the drop-down, and we email an order confirmation with the corset’s laced and unlaced measurements so you can check them. Reply for an adjustment or an unlisted size.
Breaking in and care
Lace a new corset loosely and wear it for an hour or two at a time for the first week so the leather and bones mould to you. Spot-clean with a barely damp cloth, never soak it, and store it flat or rolled, not folded.
Common questions
How much smaller will my waist look? Most styles are built for a 3 to 4 inch reduction worn comfortably.
Can I wear it all day? Once broken in, yes, laced to a comfortable tension. Loosen it to eat and to sit for long periods.
Spiral or flat bones, does it matter? Spiral bones curve with your body around the sides and front; flat steel bones keep the back straight and stop the lacing bowing. Good corsets use both.
