Leather Vests for Men
The leather vest is a staple of motorcycle-club and rally wear, and a lightweight layer in its own right. This section covers riding vests, plain club vests and quilted styles, made to the size you choose.
Leather and gauge
Cowhide, 1.0 to 1.2 mm, is the riding-vest standard. Thick enough to take patches and stand up to weather.
Buffalo has a heavier grain and a slightly softer hand.
Lambskin is soft and light, better for a vest worn as a layer than for the bike.

Fit and sizing
A riding vest is worn over a shirt or a jacket and should sit close without gaping at the front. Choose your size from the drop-down at checkout. We email an order confirmation with the chest and back-length measurements for that size, and you can reply for an adjustment or an unlisted size. Side laces on many vests let you take in the waist.
Care
Wipe down after a wet ride, dry away from heat, and condition the leather two or three times a year.
Common questions
How much room for patches? Plain-back vests leave the full back panel clear. Measure your patch and check the back-panel size on the product page.
Cowhide or lambskin? Cowhide for a vest that goes on the bike and carries colours. Lambskin for a soft vest worn as a layer.
What thickness should a riding vest be? Around 1.0 to 1.2 mm is the usual range. Thicker leather protects more but is stiffer and takes longer to break in.
