Leather Jackets for Men
A men’s leather jacket is the one outer layer that works with almost everything and gets better with age. This section covers biker jackets, bombers, shirt-collar jackets, racer jackets and shearling. Every jacket is made to the size you choose, and the fit can be adjusted.
Which leather

Lambskin is soft, light and drapes close to the body. The usual choice for a jacket worn mostly in town.
Sheepskin is a little firmer than lambskin with more structure, often finished semi-aniline so the grain shows.
Cowhide is thick and hard wearing, the heavyweight option for a biker jacket that takes real use.
Goatskin is light but firm with a natural pebble grain, a good middle weight.
Shearling keeps the wool on the inside for cold weather.

Bomber has a rib-knit collar, cuffs and hem and a relaxed cut

Linings
Most jackets are lined in viscose or polyester, some quilted for warmth, a few in wool or faux fur for winter. The product page lists the lining for each jacket.
Fit and sizing
Choose your size from the drop-down when you order. We email an order confirmation that lists the chest, shoulder and sleeve measurements for that size so you can check them against a jacket you already own. Reply to that email if you need an adjustment or a size that is not on the list. A biker jacket is meant to sit close; size up if you plan to layer a hoodie underneath.
Care
Hang it on a wide hanger, keep it away from radiators and direct sun, and use a leather conditioner two or three times a year. Wipe marks with a barely damp cloth. Do not machine wash.
Common questions
Which leather is most durable? Cowhide, then goatskin, then sheepskin and lambskin. Lambskin trades some toughness for softness and a closer drape.
How should a leather jacket fit? Close through the shoulders and chest with room to move your arms, sleeves ending at the wrist bone. It will give slightly with wear.
Can I wear a leather jacket in the rain? Light rain is fine. Let it dry naturally away from heat and condition it afterwards. Avoid heavy rain.
Will it stretch? Lambskin and sheepskin relax a little across the back and elbows. Cowhide barely moves.
