Leather Carpenter Aprons
A leather carpenter apron carries fasteners and hand tools on the move and takes knocks on site. A tough hide with a hammer loop and deep pockets is what you want, and a leather carpenter apron holds nails and screws for years where a canvas one wears through in a season.
Site-ready

Full-grain cowhide that survives being dropped, dragged and leaned against timber
A hammer loop and a D-ring for a hammer, a tape or a speed square
Deep front pockets for nails, screws and a pencil, with a smaller slot for a marking knife
An upper zip pocket on some, to keep a phone away from dust
Cross-back straps so a loaded apron still sits comfortably

Apron or tool belt
An apron spreads the load across your shoulders and does not pull your trousers down, so it suits bench work and finish carpentry. A belt puts weight on your hips and is faster for framing. Many carpenters keep both and switch depending on the task.
Care
Empty the pockets, knock out the dust, and wipe the leather down. Condition it a couple of times a year. Scuffs, dents and glue marks are part of a working apron and do not shorten its life.
Common questions
Will nails wear through the pockets? Not the way they do with canvas. The leather is thick enough to hold fasteners for years.
How long is a leather carpenter apron? Most sit around mid-thigh so you can crouch and climb. See the wider leather apron range.
